Orchid Contemporary is an independent DIY art space and gallery located on the occupied territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe and Mississaugas in the east end of so-called Hamilton, Ontario. Orchid’s programming aims to be responsive to Hamilton’s surrounding artistic communities, fostering intergenerational collaboration and mentorship between artists, writers, curators, and community organizers, and showcasing the work of under-represented artistic practices.
